Second of six organ recitals at St Joseph’s Highgate church, London. Housed in this landmark church is an instrument of international importance: the grade 1 listed Hill organ of 1898 has been described as “a symphony orchestra” and “England’s answer to the great organ of Sydney Town Hall”. The unique instrument was not designed for this church or for liturgical use; these recitals provide an opportunity to hear the organ fulfil its original role as a world-class recital instrument.
