The master class will be held on June 15-21, 2009 at The Minor Basilica of Marijampole (J.Bendoriaus Str. 1), Lithuania. The theme of the “Organ Summer Academy 2009” – “The French Organ School” – has been determined by the instrument of the Basilica. The French-style organ built in Marijampole Basilica is an instrument that will help the participants in finding the suitable mixtures of the stops for the Ancient, Romantic and modern French music and examining the stylistic peculiarities of various time periods of music. The course will be held on August 18-22, 2008 in the Karosas’ Hall of the Lithuanian Academy for Music and Theatre (Gedimino pr. 42, II floor, room 220). The course will be led by an outstanding improviser and organ pedagogue professor Hans Martin Corrinth from Stuttgart Music University (Germany). The theme of the master classes “Organ Summer Academy 2008” – “The ABC in Organ Improvisation: for the Holy Mass and for the Concert”. 1. The course is devoted to organists who had improvised never before or have only limited skills of improvisation. 2. As far as the improvisation borders with some psychological barriers, and in order to create a quite work atmosphere, only active participants are permitted to the classes. 3.
