Music for the Advent Season Free admission, reception to follow Street parking free on Sundays Repertoire to include: Toccata on Veni Emmanuel – Andrew Carter La vierge et l’enfant – Olivier Messiaen Toccata, Fugue et Hymne sur Ave Maris Stella – Flor Peeters Chorales – J. S. Bach and Johannes Brahms March on a theme by Handel – Alexandre Guilmant Men of the Grace Church Choir will sing the chorales and plainsong that inspired the compositions.

Mr. Arndt performs major organ works on Grace’s 1990 Casavant organ. Music to include Hindemith’s Second Sonata, Dupre’s Prelude and Fugue in B Major, Bach’s “Wedge” Prelude and Fugue in E minor, and the premiere of Spiritual Variations III by Westminster Choir College professor Christian Carey. Mr. Arndt will be joined by soprano Jennifer Bates for Sacred Songs by Anton Heiller, a rarely performed work for voice and organ. A free will offering will be recieved and a reception will follow.
