Nathan Stewart and Kazuyo Shimizu will present a joint recital at King Avenue United Methodist Church on Sunday, February 14 at 3:00. Mr. Stewart was the winner of the Knoxville, TN Young Organist Competition and is a student at the University of Tennessee studying with John Brock. He will play works by Bach, Mendelssohn, Rawsthorne, Vaughan-Williams, and Vierne. Kazuyo Shimizu is pursuing a Master’s degree in piano at the University of Tennessee and studies with Dr. David Northington. She will perform works by Bach, Beethoven, Liszt, and Rorem.
