Andrew Benson-Wilson

Andrew Benson-Wilson plays a reconstruction of the organ that Handel would have known while composer in residence at nearby Cannons in a programme that includes three of the solo organ versions of Handel’s Organ Concertos published by Walsh, together with one of the Great Suites, the monumental Chaccone in G, the moving Fugue in a minor and a delightful little Air transcribed from the Mr Clay Musical Clock at Windsor Castle. The church is one of the finest Baroque churches in the country and includes the spectacular monument to Handel’s patron, the Duke of Chandos.
