Symposium
Bordeaux, France
- 2004-05-28

Dom François Bedos de Celles (1709-1779) occupies a special place in the organ building history in France and Europe in the Classical period. Indeed, a Benedictine monk of the congregation of St Maur, he devoted all his life to building, repairing, and designing organs of his time. It will consider the contribution of L’Art du Facteur d’Orgue in recent restoration practices. Finally, echoing the project already present in Dom Bedos’ treatise of the 18th century, the congressists will ask themselves about the future of the king of the instruments and its uses at the beginning of the 21st century. This congress is organized by Dr. Naji Hakim and Marie-Bernadette Dufourcet...
